RE: $3 / gallon diesel

Gas is $1.63 here...to bad I don't buy gas. Diesel is running around $2.65 which is way better than it was.

RE: If Ford, GM, and Chrysler were to go out of business.....

If they file BK, they will not go out of business. They will be protected from their creditors and continue to produce vehicles. They would go through a restructuring similar to Delta airlines that filed BK a few years ago.

RE: GM Integrated Brake Controllers

I have it in my GMC and like it very much. Works great, no problem at all after 7000 miles of towing.

RE: Question to men towing

It just comes down to personal choice. For me, the trip is half the fun. I love towing.

RE: Towing with 2005 GMC Yukon Denali SUV

I used to have an 05 Yukon Denali pulling our 32 ft TT. For a short trip within 100 miles or so it was OK, but for anything else it was too much for the Yukon. I would say keep your TT length under about 26 ft and 6000# loaded and you will good. We traded the Yukon in on a 2500HD DMax earlier this year and the difference in towing is night and day...

RE: seeking info on buying TC

Yes, I am looking to buy used. I don't need anything fancy but would like to be self contained if possible. We are looking to go to more remote areas where we cant pull our TT. What is the better brand for cold weather camping?

seeking info on buying TC

We have a TT that we use during the summer months with the entire family. I have been thinking of buying a TC for mostly winter usage for my son (5 year old) and I. Any suggestions of models to look at that can be put on a shortbed 2500HD truck? We will be mostly camping in the hills of KY, WVA, TN so it won't get real cold (above 15F of so). THanks....

RE: Topsail State Park FL

Mid April will be a little early for a waterpark. I hate to say it, but if I could only get site #2, I wouldn't stay there. The spot is right up front by all of the traffic with no privacy.

RE: Should I trade my 08 Silverado 1/2 ton for a Duramax?

I agree you need more truck and the Duramax is a great truck. I would advise against rolling a balance into a new vehicle. Possibly try to sell your truck by yourself and look for a used Dmax if you don't have the $$ to pay the difference. Being upside down then buying a more expensive vehicle and being more upside down isn't a good move. Good luck in your decision.

RE: Maybe It's Just Me

Maybe it's just me, but when I go to RV Park Reviews and see many of the comments it make me wonder. Doe's anybody EVER use thier own showers and bathroom facilities? They always complain about the RV park facilities. The reason my wife and I bought a totally self contained RV was for the conveniance of not having to use somebody else's bathrooms! All we want is a reasonably level site for a night or two while we travel. How wierd we are!
I agree with you, we prefer to use our own also but many people use the rv park facilities, especially tent campers.

RE: Can storage tanks be connected somehow?

We can only last a day or two on gray water, but can last a week or more on our black tank. Are you sure your black fills quicker?

I doubt it is a scam. Just a very good price. Economics are hurting a lot of people.
